Driver Arrested after Truck Hits Shed, Starting Fire
An eastern Iowa man has been arrested, after he crashed a truck into a shed, catching the building on fire.
This happened at about 2am today (March 31) near Springville, in Linn County.
Law enforcement received a report of a truck being driven recklessly around Springville, then crashing into a shed on 1st Avenue.
The shed then caught on fire.
No injuries were reported and no area homes were damaged, but the shed was totaled.
The driver of the truck, 37-year-old Kurt Hepker of Springville, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, and other traffic-related charges.
Hepker was taken to the Linn County jail in Cedar Rapids.
The incident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff. They were assisted at the scene by Marion Police, and fire departments from Springville, Anamosa, and Mount Vernon.
