Girl Charged with Crashing her Car into a Tractor

A young driver is being cited, after crashing her car into a tractor in rural Bremer County.

The Bremer County Sheriff responded to the accident scene, just before 7:30am Wednesday (March 21), at the intersection of County Roads V-62 and C-50, south of Oran, near the Fayette County line.

A minor female driver attempted a right turn, but crossed the center line and collided with a tractor stopped at the stop sign. The tractor was driven by 49-year-old Scott Neil of Fairbank.

No one was injured, but there was considerable damage to the teen's 2001 Mercury Cougar. She was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
