New Iowa men's basketball coach Ben McCollum has made headlines during the offseason for rebuilding the Iowa roster. But it turns out, Coach McCollum still has some game! Just ask Super Bowl Champion and former Iowa defensive back Cooper DeJean!

Cooper DeJean has had a busy offseason after winning the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles. He started a podcast and hosted a celebrity softball game in Des Moines last month. According to a video on the Iowa Men's Basketball Facebook page, DeJean is training at the University of Iowa during the NFL offseason. That training included visiting the Iowa men's basketball team at a recent practice.

DeJean was a star athlete in high school, including basketball. In a video posted by Iowa Men's Basketball on Facebook, DeJean shows that he still has plenty of game, even though he plays football for a living!

But the video also shows that Iowa coach Ben McCollum has got some game of his own! He steals the ball from DeJean and even dribbles around the NFL star! Cooper gets his revenge at the rim, however, with a blocked shot.

The other surprising thing about this video is the fact that DeJean is allowed to play offseason basketball while training for his second season with the Eagles. We've all heard the stories before about NFL players who get hurt playing a different sport in the offseason. We're glad Cooper stayed healthy and can't wait to see McCollum's Hawkeyes on the court later this year!
