Anamosa Pumpkinfest & Ryan Norlin GIANT Pumpkin Weigh-Off

  • Main Street, Anamosa
  • Saturday, October 5th with events beginning at 8 a.m.
  • Featuring a parade, a car show, a 5k, a car smash, a kids' zone, an equipment rodeo, games, competitions, and more

Halloween Sensory "Scare" Fair

  • Ned Ashton House, Iowa City
  • Saturday, October 5th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • "The Sensory 'Scare' Fair will be just for our friends and their families that have sensory sensitivities and need a safe place to celebrate the Halloween season. The fair will include a sensory sensitive haunted house, sensory games, and more. No candy will be handed out, just sensory toys."

Hocus Pocus Dance Party & Costume Contest

  • The Play Cafe, Marion
  • Saturdays in October from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Featuring photos with Winifred, dancing, costume contests, games, and more
  • Admission is $10 per child (or $24 for a three play punch card)

HallowTEEN

  • Iowa City Public Library
  • Thursday, October 10th from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • "Bring your squad and celebrate Halloween early with food, games, prizes, and a haunted house! School ID, ICPR facility pass, or ICPL library card are required to enter the haunted festivities, and admission is FREE! Costumes are
    encouraged"

Halloween Trail

  • Liberty Centre Pond, North Liberty
  • Friday, October 11th from 10 to 11 a.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • "The pathway will be lit by all kinds of friendly ghosts and ghouls giving out candy and guiding you along the way. Costumes are welcome but not required."

Springville Pumpkin Palooza

  • Broadway St, Springville
  • Saturday, October 12th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Featuring a parade of costumes, a trick-or-treat trail, a car show, a vendor fair, and more

Center Point Harvest Festival

  • Fross Park, Center Point
  • Saturday, October 12th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • "Trunk or Treat with local businesses, face painting, pumpkin decorating, inflatables, vendors, and music! Opal & Hazels Wood Fired Pizza and Meader's Meats BBQ will have hot food for sale as well!"

Spooky Legends of Linn County

  • The History Center, Cedar Rapids
  • Friday, October 18th at 6:30 p.m.
  • "Join us for authentic Linn County ghost stories told by storyteller Darrin Crow, including campfires, s'mores and hot cocoa, Almost Famous Popcorn and cash bar available. This is an outdoor event. Please bring a lawn chair."
  • Admission is $5 per person

Cedar Rapids Halloween Parade

  • Featuring a kid zone from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a family costume contest at 5:30 p.m.

Tiffin Halloween Hike

Marengo Fall Festival

Ely Spooky Walk

  • Tuesday, October 22nd from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • "The Ely Public Library and the businesses along Dows St. will be handing out goodies to all the trick-or-treaters! Come in to the library for some treats and a Halloween themed story walk."

Children's Halloween Party & Costume Contest
