Football is back in Iowa City this Saturday! The Iowa Hawkeyes kick off its football season at Kinnick Stadium this weekend and fans headed to the game will find new technology waiting for them as they enter the gates.

Who Does Iowa Play This Saturday?

The Hawkeyes will host UAlbany on Saturday, August 30th, at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. Kickoff is set for 5:10 p.m. and the game will be televised by FS1. Iowa is currently a 38.5-point favorite.

New Ticket Technology Will Make Its Debut

Fans entering Kinnick Stadium on Saturday will notice something new. CBS2 reports that Iowa Athletics has upgraded its entry system. Fans will now be able to simply tap their phones instead of having a barcode scanned. The new system was implemented with the goal of cutting down on ticket fraud.

University of Iowa Athletic officials are encouraging fans to download their tickets before they leave home, as Wi-Fi during gameday can often be spotty, according to CBS2. If you don't have a smartphone, you can still print your tickets and bring them with you to Kinnick Stadium on Saturday.
