A Johnson County Coffee Shop Has Opened a Second Corridor Location
Good news for fans of Zōetic Coffee in Solon! The local coffee shop has expanded into Iowa City, opening a second location this week! The official announcement from their Facebook page reads:
"It’s time to spread the word! Zōetic Iowa City is officially open for business on Monday Dec. 1! Limited hours until we get a full team there! Come check us out and see what South of 6 has to offer!!"
The New Location
Zōetic Coffee's second location is inside of the South District Market at 947 Hwy 6 E in Iowa City. They have taken over the space most recently occupied by another local coffee shop, Dodge Street Coffeehouse.
Other vendors inside the South District Market include Royceann's Soul Food Restaurant and the non-profit Multicultural Development Center of Iowa.
About Zōetic Coffee
Zōetic Coffee first opened its doors at 417 Haganman Lane in Solon back in 2021. According to the South District Market's website, "Zōetic Coffee is built on a simple, yet powerful, idea held by founder Lisa Bishop for two decades: that coffee can be a catalyst for meaningful relationships and strong community."
The shop's menu offers lots of beverages, including lattes, frappes, cold brew, iced tea, hot chocolate, chai, smoothies, and energy drinks, as well as coffee flights! As far as food goes, there are both breakfast and lunch items, like avocado toast, wraps, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, scones, muffins, and cookies.
The Solon location is very highly rated, with 100% of Facebook reviewers recommending the shop, and a 4.8-star rating on Google (87 total reviews).
Zōetic Iowa City Hours
For the time being, Zōetic Coffee's new Iowa City location will be open for limited hours with a reduced menu. As of December 1st, they are open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. They plan to expand their hours in the future.
