A major Cedar Falls community event had to be postponed this year. The Northeastern Iowa art celebration will still go on, but rain is changing up those plans.

On Friday morning, officials from the Cedar Falls Tourism announced that the 16th annual ARTapalooza would be postponed due to forecasted weather. Saturday, September 10th, the original day of the community event saw some major showers come through Cedar Falls.

So it looked like that was a pretty smart move on organizers parts...

ARTapalooza, is an outdoor art festival held in Downtown Cedar Falls every September. It brings together artists from all throughout the region. According to the Community Main Street website, some of the artwork that will be featured includes; ceramics, metal, paintings, glasswork, metal sculptures, fiber, jewelry, photography, drawing, printmaking and mixed media.

This year, instead of being held on the first Saturday after Labor Day, it's been moved to Sunday, September 11th. It will still take place right in the heart of Downtown Cedar Falls, from First to Fifth streets from 9am - 4pm.
