Another day, another recall. This one it's worth noting, may have implications leading back to 2018.

The products in question could contain listeria which is especially dangerous to pregnant women, infants, and senior citizens or those with weakened immune systems..

Unfortunately, seniors are the most likely to be impacted by this particular recall.

Since these are not for purchase in stores, it's important for any care facility that sells or distributes the product to check to make sure they're not serving something that could potentially be harmful.

Thus far the recall has been linked to 38 illnesses including 37 hospitalizations and 12 deaths.

Listeriosis (Listeria) can cause a wide range of symptoms, from mild discomfort to severe health complications.

In more mild cases, individuals may experience fever, muscle aches, nausea, fatigue, vomiting, and diarrhea.

However, if the infection progresses and becomes more severe, symptoms can become very serious and include headache, a stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and even convulsions.

Anyone experiencing these symptoms, especially those in high-risk groups listed above should seek medical attention promptly.
