There’s A TINY Chance Taylor Swift Would Perform In Iowa
We have a small sliver of hope that one of the biggest names in the music industry MIGHT come to Iowa.
Here's how that could POSSIBLY happen.
Taylor Swift recently announced her most ambitious tour yet this week. The Grammy award winning singer will be hitting the road in 2023 for the 'Taylor Swift Eras Tour.' Swift said she will start this global tour with 27 stadium shows in the United States next year.
The closest shows for Iowans to go to would be Chicago, Minneapolis, or Kansas City (Missouri). However, there is a TINY chance that the singer could perform in the Hawkeye State.
But there's another way we'd might get to see her...
Hinterland officials just announced the lineup for the 2023 festival. We previously reported on the Iowa music festival, and you can check that out here. The musical event is expected to take place from August 4th-6th.
The headliners for the three-day festival are Bon Iver, Zach Bryan, and Maggie Rogers. One of these indie artists has teamed up with Taylor Swift a time or two.
Bon Iver has collaborated with the multi-award winning artist on two songs. Both of these tracks were from some of Swift's recent bodies of work. On the albums 'folklore' and 'evermore' Bon Iver duetted with Taylor.
First, he provided his vocals for a song called 'exile' on 'folklore' in the summer of 2020. Months later, in her follow-up record 'evermore' Swift asked Bon Iver to team up with her again on the title track.
That enough seems like a good enough reason to believe that Taylor Swift might join the American indie folk band during their set at Hinterland right? Well, the band's second night at Wembley’s OVO Arena in London, UK in October, featured a very special guest.
Halfway through the band's performance of 'exile' Taylor Swift hopped on stage to perform. Fans lost their minds when the superstar sang. This also happened to be the first time that either of these artists sang this song in front of a crowd.
You can watch the full performance down below.
Maybe if Taylor isn't busy in August she could pop on over to Iowa and do it all over again???
Well, a girl can dream...
