A young Northeast Iowa man faces charges following a recent trespassing incident.
Shortly after 11pm Thursday (Jan. 5), the Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call, reporting a trespass at a residence near Sumner.

According to the information received, a man showed up at the property and tried to gain entry, but instead fled the scene.

The next morning (Friday, Jan. 6), 19-year-old Manish Jha of Elgin was taken into custody on a charge of Trespassing, a Simple Misdemeanor. Jha was held in the Fayette County jail unti his initial court appearance.

In October, Jha was arrested for forgery in Fayette County. At the time, he could have faced deportation from the United States; he is currently in the U.S. on a school Visa.
