More Snow This Weekend!
Get your shovels ready, another round of snow is headin' towards the Hawkeye State.
The National Weather Service in Des Moines says:
Snow will begin to overspread large portions of the state by Saturday afternoon and continue through the overnight hours. Greatest amounts (around 2" to 5") are expected to be along and north of Highway 20.
The record amount of snow for January 23 in Waterloo is 3.5" set in 1996, so it's quite possible a daily snowfall record could be broken in the Cedar Valley.
If you plan on traveling Saturday afternoon/Sunday morning use 511ia.org for the latest in road conditions across the state.
As of Friday morning, a Winter Storm Watch has been posted for portions of southern Minnesota where they are expecting 4-8" of snow.
