Two northeast Iowa college baseball teams are returning home after spending some extended time on the road.

Upper Iowa is scheduled to host a three-game Northern Sun Conference series against Minnesota State-Mankato, the second-place team in the league standings. The series begins Saturday with a 1:30 PM doubleheader and concludes on with a nine-inning single game on Sunday at noon. All three games will be plyed at Robertson Woods Field in Fayette.

The Peacocks (9-9 overall, 9-8 NSIC) have been on the road for more than two weeks. Their last competitive action at home was March 30, when Upper Iowa swept Bemidji State in a doubleheader, 9-6 and 4-3.

Wartburg is playing at home for the first time in 18 days. The Knights (9-13 overall, 7-9 ARC) open a four-game series against Buena Vista on Saturday, when they face the Beavers in a 2 PM doubleheader at Harms Stadium at Hertel Field in Waverly. The series concludes with a doubleheader on Sunday at 1 PM.

On the softball diamond, Upper Iowa is scheduled to play a pair of weekend doubleheaders at home. The Peacocks (8-17 overall, 4-8 NSIC) host Minnesota-Crookston on Saturday at 2 PM, and Bemidji State on Sunday at noon. Both twinbills will be played at the Eischeid Complex in Fayette.

The Wartburg and UNI softball teams are both on the road for their weekend games. The 14th-ranked Knights are scheduled to play three games against Buena Vista in Storm Lake and the Panthers have a three-game series at Loyola-Chicago.

Wartburg (19-5 overall, 10-4 ARC) currently leads the American Rivers Conference standings, while UNI (19-13 overall, 9-3 MVC) is in second-place in the Missouri Valley Conference race.
