Four Wisconsin residents, arrested in Waukon on methamphetamine and other charges, have made their initial court appearance this week.

The four were arrested Sunday (March 10), after a short car chase on the west side of Waukon. The incident started when a Waukon Police officer tried to stop a vehicle at the intersection of West Main and 5th Street SW. The suspect vehicle sped off, and the car's occupants were seen throwing items out of the vehicle during the chase. Those items were later found by police.

When the car stopped after the short pursuit, Waukon Police made some arrests:
38-year-old Amanda Clauer of Milwaukee was charged with Eluding, Driving Without a License, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Authorities also found more meth and paraphernalia in their car, when they obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, after the pursuit; as a result, more charges are pending

All four suspects appeared in court on Monday (March 11); 3 were released on signature bonds, but Houston was held on a $2,000 cash bond, and an arrest warrant from Wisconsin.
