A Cedar Rapids Restaurant is Serving a New Barbie-Inspired Sauce

How do you feel about bright pink sauce on your chicken wings?!

Thanks to the wild success of the new movie, Barbie is currently taking over the world! There are tons of Barbie and Barbie-inspired products on the market right now, and that includes food and beverages.

Late last week, Chophouse Downtown in Cedar Rapids debuted a new sauce that they describe as, "SWEET, VIBRANT, & OH-SO-UNIQUE."  It's called the Malibu Barbie Dream Drizzle, and once you see it, you'll understand how it got its name...

Inspired by a restaurant in New York, Chophouse Downtown decided to create a bright pink sauce that diners can add to any dish they want! Whether you want to coat your wings with it or use it as a dipping sauce for your fries, the Malibu Barbie Dream Drizzle is now available to order for a limited time.

If you're wondering how the new sauce gets its vibrant pink color, the answer is pretty simple... dragon fruit! But, what exactly does it taste like? Well, Chophouse Downtown describes the sauce as "pure creamy bliss!" A post from the restaurant's Facebook page reads:

"The sweetness of dragon fruit perfectly balances the delightful hints of garlic, onion, and tangy lemon, while a sprinkle of savory and aromatic herbs such as dill, parsley, and chives adds a symphony of flavors that will leave you craving for more."
