Did your hometown make the list or do you need to step your game up?

Every year 24/7 Wall Street reviews the adult excessive drinking rate from 381 different metro cities. They then compile the data to figure out the drunkest and driest cities in the U.S.

They just came out with their Top 20 Drunkest cities and several cities from Iowa cracked the top 20.

19. Ames, IA
Percent of adults drinking to excess: 22.7%
Percent of driving deaths involving alcohol: 15.0 %
Estimated number of restaurants and bars: 176 (181.3 per 100,000)
Median household income: $53,371

14. Dubuque, IA

Based on the college presence in these three towns, these entries shouldn’t be too surprising. Nine of the top 20–and seven in the top 10–were located in Wisconsin, including #1, Green Bay.
