Altercation Puts Area Man in Jail

A Clermont man is in jail after being involved in a fight on a city street.

Just before 8pm Monday (Oct. 17), the Fayette County Sheriff got a report of a fight on Union Street in Clermont.

A responding deputy determined that 57 year old Mark Gingerich had trespassed onto private property, prompting a fight with another man.

Both men sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Gingerich was arrested for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.
