Authorities have filed charges against another person allegedly involved in a theft ring, which stole thousands of dollars from a Northeast Iowa resident.

The Fayette County Sheriff determined that over the last two months, more than half-a-dozen people took advantage of a West Union resident, claiming to be his caretaker and do repair work around his home.

Charges have now been filed against a 7th person, identified as 45-year-old Chad Palmer of Elgin. Palmer is alleged to have possessed and sold some firearms that belong to the victim. An arrest warrant was issued, charging Palmer with Possession of a Firearm as a Felon.

He is still at-large. Anyone with information on Palmer's whereabouts is asked to contact the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
