Stan Lee originally pitched the concept to New World Entertainment (then Marvel’s parent company), but they turned the idea down because Disney had just released Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. As we’re sure you’ve noticed, when superhero movies film out in public, they attract a lot of attention. That’s attention Marvel — who loves to keep things secret — doesn’t want. So, they shot Ant-Man in San Francisco under the clever fake movie name, Bigfoot.
