Unfortunately, the 164th Butler County Fair, which was scheduled for June 24th-28th, will have to wait until 2021 to happen. The fair board announced today via Facebook that the COVID-19 pandemic has forced them to scrap this years fair. The cancellation includes all Grandstand shows, carnival rides, exhibits, food vendors, and on grounds free entertainment.

The board says that their is still hope for the 4-H and FFA youth to showcase their static exhibits and livestock projects, but that a decision will have to meet the compliance of State and Local Public Health Emergency Declarations.

As the pandemic continues to force both social distancing and changes in how we gather, more summer events are likely to cancel a 2020 iteration.
