A Northeast Iowa man faces charges for allegedly assaulting a law enforcement officer.


The incident happened Saturday night (April 1). At about 8pm, the Fayette County Sheriff received a noise complaint at a home on Front Street in Westgate. When the deputy arrived, the loud music could be heard from a block away.

32-year-old David Staake of Westgate was confronted about the situation, but became beligerent with the deputy, and assaulted him. Staake was then arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Assault on an Officer, and Interference with Official Acts.
Staake was held until his initial court appearance.

An Arlington woman, wanted on a Fayette County warrant, was located late Friday afternoon (March 31), and taken into custody. 20-year-old Kayci Hahn was wanted on the original charge of Child Endangerment. She was held in the Fayette County jail on $3,000 cash bond.
