Area Man Dies in Weekend Pickup Truck Rollover

A Northeast Iowa man has died in a weekend traffic accident.
It happened early Sunday (Sept. 4) about 2 miles north of Spillville on county road W-14.

32 year old Omar Flores of Calmar was driving a pickup south, when he lost control. The pickup entered a ditch, and rolled onto it's top in a creek.

The accident was discovered at about 3:30am; Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident was investigated by the Iowa State Patrol with assistance from the Winneshiek County Sheriff, Calmar Fire and Rescue, and Decorah Ambulance.
