Area Man Hurt in Rural Tractor Rollover

A tractor rollover in rural Fayette County has sent an area man to the hospital.

Just before 3pm Wednesday (Aug. 30), authorities were notified of a tractor that had rolled over on "J" Avenue, north of 250th Street, northeast of West Union.

59-year-old Neil Anthony Lansing of West Union was operating the 7730 John Deere tractor, along the edge of a field, when a tire blew. The blow out caused the tractor to enter the ditch, where it overturned onto it's side.

Lansing was taken by private vehicle to the West Union hospital, to be treated for minor injuries. The tractor had $25,000 in damage.

The West Union Fire Department assisted the Fayette County Sheriff at the scene.
