Area Woman and Grandson Both Die in Traffic Accident

A Northeast Iowa woman and her grandson have died in a two-vehicle accident in Floyd County.
It happened at about 5pm Friday (Oct. 14) at the intersection of U.S. Highway 18 (the Avenue of the Saints), and Lancer Road, between Rudd and Floyd.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a southbound car on Lancer Road, driven by 75 year old Marilyn Wulff of Charles City, failed to stop at the intersection with Highway 18.

A westbound pickup driven by 25 year old Colbie Gallipo of Forest Lake, Minnesota, collided with the driver's side of Wulff's car.

Wulff, along with her grandson, 14 year old Jaden Wulff, were taken to the Charles City hospital, but died from their injuries. Gallipo was not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.

Funeral services for Marilyn Wulff and Jaden Wulff, will be held Wednesday in Charles City.
