Area Woman Dies in Southern Minnesota Accident

A Northeast Iowa woman has died in a traffic accident in southern Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, it happened at about 4:30pm Friday, on Highway 63, between Leroy and Spring Valley, Minnesota.

A car driven by 57 year old Rochel Buck of Cresco, collided with a semi driven by 49 year old Kenneth Lynch of Independence, Iowa.

Buck was pronounced dead at the scene; Lynch was not injured.

Authorities did not release how the accident happened, other than the car was northbound, the semi southbound, and the roads were wet at the time.
