A Westgate man faces a list of charges after leading authorities on a chase from Black Hawk County, into Buchanan County.

The investigation began at about 9am Thursday (Feb. 11) when the Fayette County Sheriff was called to a home in Westgate on the report of a break-in.

Responding deputies determined that 43 year old Bryan Rodas had burglarized the residence, and stole several firearms.

An "attempt to locate" was put out to Northeast Iowa law enforcement agencies, to be on the lookout for Rodas.

Rodas was later located at the Isle Casino in Waterloo. Authorities attempted to stop him there, but a chase ensued, east on Highway 20 from Black Hawk County into Buchanan County.
