The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is reporting a couple of arrests involving domestic violence.

The latest incident was around 8am Monday (Feb. 22) in Waucoma; deputies were called to a disturbance at a home on 1st Street. An investigation determined that 46 year old Travis Farmer of Waucoma had allegedly assaulted a female in the residence. Farmer was taken into custody on a charge of domestic abuse serious assault. The victim refused medical attention, but the DHS was called in to assist with the children who were in the home during the assault.

The sheriff was also called out to a domestic disturbance Friday (Feb. 19) afternoon in Westgate. 59 year old Thomas Norton of Westgate was arrested for domestic abuse assault, and driving while his license is suspended.

The sheriff also reports that a Hawkeye man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant: 44 year old Christopher Gruver was taken into custody Monday (Feb. 22) on a Fayette County warrant for a pre-trial release violation. Gruver was held in jail until his initial court appearance.
