A Northeast Iowa man is recovering from injuries he sustained in a one-car accident in Benton County late Wednesday night (Feb. 24).


It happened at about 11:15pm Thursday (Feb. 24) in the 5400 block of the 22nd Avenue Trail, just west of Vinton.
A car driven by 39 year old Joshua Hendryx of Vinton was headed north when he lost control. The car entered a ditch, became airborne when it vaulted over a creek, and struck a power pole.

Hendryx, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by North Benton Ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A condition report was not available.

The accident was investigated by the Iowa State Patrol, assisted by the Benton County Sheriff's Office, and North Benton Ambulance.
