Months ago it was announced that the iconic Santa's Workshop on the corner of Main Street would not be returning to Cedar Falls. The physical structure of the workshop was sold to a couple that donated it to the town of Traer.

This spot was bought by a business, specifically a restaurant.

Georges Local a restaurant right next to Whiskey Road in Cedar Falls and has been open for business for the past few months. The eatery, located at 108 East 4th Street has been seeing major success ever since its opening. One of the unique aspects of the business is the large outdoor/patio area.

One of the big questions that restaurant-goers probably have is;

What will happen during the winter time with that patio space?

If they just shut that space down, then the restaurant will lose out on half of its space and probably lose some money during the season. It looks like the owners of Georges already have something in mind.

The restaurant posted this on their Facebook page with no comment. Quickly people started to get excited at the images of the igloos that might be going up in the patio of the restaurant. This is a mock up of what the igloos will probably look like outside of Georges.

There is no word yet about when these will be going up.

The restaurant officially opened for business on Wednesday, September 29th.
