Iowa Movie Theaters Offering Criminally Cheap Tickets

If you're like me and love spending an afternoon at the movies, but you don't want to break the bank, I've got some great news for you. Sunday, August 27th is National Cinema Day and movie theaters all across the country are offering some special deals.

It's the second ever celebration of all things cinema that was dreamed up by the Cinema Foundation, according to reports. This is a part of the National Association of Theatre Owners.

Last year, the National Cinema Day deals saw approximately 8 million people purchase tickets to their local theaters, setting some intense attendance records in 2022, reports claim.

Flash forward to August of 2023, with some major blockbuster movies like "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" in the mix this year, it is anticipated to be even bigger than the inaugural event.

Marcus Theaters, a movie theater chain that has been growing in smaller and medium sized cities is also joining in on the fun of Cinema Day. There are five locations in Iowa and every single one of them are offering great days for this Sunday.

No matter what movie you're going to see, when you're going to see it, and what format of a film it is, tickets will all be $4! Marcus regulars know that on Tuesdays the theater offers $7 tickets for non-rewards members and $6 for rewards card holders.
