Sometimes you hear things in the night, and you might just think it's the wind. Most of the time that's true, but sometimes it's a ghost...or even worse a random neighbor.

It all started with a young woman going to visit her friend in Coralville, IA. They started hearing weird noises late one night, and they couldn't figure out where it was coming from. After hearing it several times, they realized it was someone knocking at the door. Each time this person knocked they would go and open the door to see who it was. They never caught them in the act.

This girl and her friend were starting to think that it was something supernatural or sinister even...

Hearing random knocking late at night and not seeing a single living soul might lead you to believe that the building might be haunted. Fortunately (or unfortunately if you were hoping for a ghostly spector to be at the door) that was not the case at all.

You can watch the initial video recapping the situation down below.

This Tik Tok user decided to tape her phone to the door's peephole to see who it was. It turns out that it was the neighbors right across the hall the whole time. Still, it's a strange and somewhat scary situation that these people are in.

At first, the young woman and her friend were both annoyed and kind of creeped out. Then they started dong ditching them back. The two neighboring apartments went back and forth with this, then it started to escalate in a HILARIOUS way.

The neighbors left them an egg at their front door, and the woman and her friend cooked it and gave it back to them. They started bringing the Tik Toker @jennaagey more random stuff. She and her friend left a smoothie, they brought back a cinnamon roll.

The turning point was when Jenna and her friend left a sandwich and some french fries at their door. One of the neighbors picked it up and you can hear her in the video saying,

"Wow! I love them!"

In return, they left a little box with some goodies and a thank you note. You can see what they left and the whole exchange in the video down below!

See Inside Roseanne Barr's Eldon Mansion

Roseanne Barr was set to make a home in Iowa. She and her then-husband Tom Arnold were in the midst of building a mansion in Eldon. It was put on hold when the couple eventually split up. This left a beautiful, unfinished, and kind of spooky mansion behind.
