The Cedar Valley United Way grant applications are now available for area agencies to apply for funding.

Applications for 2018-20 Cedar Valley United Way funding grants will be available at cedarvalleyunitedway.org on Friday, Dec. 15. To be considered for these grants, programs must meet three criteria.

First, the program must focus on one of the three funding areas: education (helping children and youth achieve their potential), health (improving people’s physical and mental well-being), or financial stability (promoting financial stewardship and independence).

In addition, any programs seeking to partner with Cedar Valley United Way must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a fiscal sponsor with this status. Programs must also serve clients within a 30-mile radius of Waterloo to be considered for a grant.

Informational sessions for applicants will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and Thursday, Dec. 14 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Valley United Way.

Applications for 2018-20 funding grants are due Friday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. Grant recipients will be notified in May 2018 and investments will begin July 1, 2018.
