Authorities have arrested a Northeast Iowa man, for leading officers on a chase with a four-wheeler.


Shortly after 5pm Sunday (March 8), the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a high speed chase involving an ATV, in the city of West Union.

A responding deputy found the driver near the intersection of "N" Avenue and 240th Street, just west of West Union.

The pursuit continued northwest, until the deputy lost site of the four-wheeler near Pilot and Otter Roads, south of Auburn.

An investigation determined the driver to be 21 year old Alexander Jones of West Union.

Just before 6:30pm, Jones turned himself into the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
He is being charged with Eluding, which is a serious misdemeanor. Jones was held in jail until his initial court appearance.
