
Driver Injured After Her SUV Crashes into Semi Trailer
A Northeast Iowa woman was injured in an accident involving her sport utility vehicle, and a semi-trailer.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff, the accident occurred at around 10:30am Tuesday (Nov. 7), at the intersection of "V" Avenue and 170th Street, northeast of Sumner.
37-year-old Eureka Elizabeth Labuschagne of Sumner was driving westbound, when it struck a northbound semi trailer driven by Lawain Galen Meier of Sumner.
Labuschagne was taken to the Sumner hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Her car and the semi-trailer are considered a total loss.
Labuschagne is being charged with Failure to Have a Valid Driver's License and Expired Registration, and issued a warning for Failure to Yield.
The Sumner Fire Department and Ambulance assisted the Fayette County Sheriff.
