East Iowan Injured in ATV Accident

An ATV crash is under investigation by the LInn County Sheriff's Dept.

It happened on Feb. 6 at 2:56pm when the Sheriff's Dept. responded to a report of an ATV crash along the Wapsipinicion River area just NW of Central City.

Chad Meyer, 43, of rural Central City was found to have colllided with a low tree branch while riding his ATV.

Meyers was then transported to University of Iowa Hospitals by lifeguard Air Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Meyers was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
