A New Waterloo Coffee Shop Will Host Its Grand Opening This Month
A new coffee shop has started welcoming customers in the Cedar Valley, and the official grand opening celebration is only a few days away! TreeHaus is now open in Downtown Waterloo.

About TreeHaus
TreeHaus is described on its website as a neighborhood café with "serious coffee, comfortable chairs, and no pressure to rush out the door." It's located at 223 W 4th St in Downtown Waterloo, the former home of the restaurant Cibo di Strada.

According to an article from The Courier, TreeHaus is owned by Mobin Khan and Simeon Talley, whose ultimate goal was to create a "living room for the neighborhood.” It features comfortable seating, fast-wifi, and "good music" that's meant to make people want to stay a while. The cozy shop also supports other small, local businesses, offering baked goods from Con Amor Bakery & Cafe and Bluff & Crumb, tea from Tea Cellar in Waterloo, and milk from Hansen’s Dairy. All of the coffee beverages are made with Chocolate Fish Coffee, a small-batch coffee company out of California, and all of TreeHaus' syrups are made in-house.

The Grand Opening
According to the Facebook page, TreeHaus will host its official grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 17th. The event will feature pop-up vendors, games & activities, food & drink specials, and more.

In the meantime, TreeHaus has already begun welcoming customers! There was a soft opening beginning September 23rd, and the business is now open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
