Local Couple Arrested for Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

Oelwein Police have arrested 2 Sumner residents on drug-related charges early this (Monday, April 3) morning.

Shortly after 3am, officers pulled over a vehicle in the 300 block of 7th Avenue SW. During the investigation, 22-year-old Dennis Roberts was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Also arrested was 31-year-old Kassie Lohmann, on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a drug tax stamp violation.

In another traffic stop this morning, just after midnight, Oelwein Police pulled over a car in the 10 block of 6th Avenue SE. The driver, 41-year-old Jason Kennaway of Oelwein, was taken into custody for Driving While his License is Suspended.

Oelwein Police were called out Saturday night (April 1) to a dispute reported in the 700 block of 1st Avenue SE.

Officers then arrested 29-year-old Lloyd Scott Jr. of Oelwein on a charge of Interference with Official Acts.

And authorities are investigating a criminal mischief incident. Oelwein Police received a report of the crime Friday afternoon, from the 300 block of 7th Avenue SW. No other information was released.
