Federal authorities are now involved in an illegal drug investigation in Manchester.

This four-month narcotics investigation began in October of 2018, when the Manchester Police Department made 2 controlled purchases of cocaine from a Manchester resident. Police were assisted in the drug purchases by a cooperating individual.

The investigation resulted in search warrants served at an apartment on North Franklin Street in Manchester on October 22nd; the second warrant was served at that same residence on December 23rd.

Evidence confiscated during the searches led to the arrests of 43-year-old Antonio Robertson, and 52-year-old Brian Johnson, both of Manchester. Both men are being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance/Intent to Deliver-Cocaine.

Results of the investigation along with the evidence seized during the searches, prompted the Manchester Police Department to contact the Federal Prosecutor in Cedar Rapids.

This resulted in the indictment of Robertson on Federal Narcotics violations. He is being charged with 2 counts of Distribution of Cocaine in Federal Court.

The case remains under investigation.
