Local Man Arrested on Warrant, Driving Violation

A Postville man has been taken into custody on a traffic violation, as well as an active arrest warrant.

On Saturday (May 14) Buchanan County Sheriff's deputies arrested 39 year old Carl Erickson in the 1400 block of First Street East in Independence.

Erickson was charged with driving while his license is suspended; he was also wanted in Fayette County for a parole violation.

Erickson was transferred to the Fayette County jail on Sunday (May 15), where he was held with bond.
