Local Teenager Dies After Colliding With Wrecker
A Northeast Iowa teenager has died in a two-vehicle accident in Fayette County.
It happened shortly after 4:00pm Tuesday (Nov. 6) on 230th Street, about five miles south of Waucoma.
An investigation determined that 18-year-old Thomas Rolison of Waucoma was driving south, when he entered an intersection and ran into a semi-wrecker, driven by 32-year-old John Rasmusson of Cedar Falls.
Rolison was trapped in his car; he had to be extricated. Rolison was flown to a LaCrosse, Wisconsin hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Rasmusson was not hurt.
The accident is still under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff's Technical Collision Investigator.
