Man Arrested for Striking Toddler, and Breaking Door

A Northeast Iowa man has been arrested on several charges after he kicked in a door and slapped his young son.

The incident happened Sunday (Jan. 14) in Manchester; police were called to a disturbance at a home at 108 Ludland Drive. When officers arrived, they discovered that the suspect, 28-year-old Larry White of Manchester, had broken a door to retrieve some property.

White also allegedly slapped his 2-year-old son, causing a bruise on the child's eye, then fled.

White was located later that evening and taken into custody. He is being charged with Child Endangerment with Injury, Criminal Mischief-4th Degree, and Trespassing-1st Offense.
