A Northeast Iowa man faces charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at some children.

The incident was reported to the Delaware County Sheriff at just before 5pm Monday (Oct. 9), in Hopkinton. Four juveniles who were walking home from school at about 3:45pm, told authorities that a man in a truck pointed a gun at them. Following an investigation, Coye Brown of Hopkinton was charged with four counts of Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon.

Also, after a 3 month investigation into a sexual abuse incident, the Delaware County sheriff served a warrant on a Hopkinton resident, Parker Shakespeare. The incident was originally reported to authorities on July 15th. The charge was filed October 2nd, and Shakespeare was taken into custody on Tuesday (Oct. 10th).
