NE Iowa Farmer Killed in Tractor Rollover

A Northeast Iowa man has been killed in a tractor rollover in Fayette County.

The accident happened at about 3pm Thursday (Aug. 16); the Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call reporting a tractor rollover on "P" Avenue, northeast of St. Lucas, with a person trapped underneath the machinery.

68-year-old Linus Kuennen of Fort Atkinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation indicated that Kuennen appeared to be doing farm work, when his tractor rolled into a deep ditch.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Tri-State Ambulance, St. Lucas Fire Department, Waucoma Fire Department, and Hawkeye First Responders.
