TwoNortheast Iowa men have been arrested on drug and numerous other charges following a weekend investigation in the town of Hawkeye.

The Fayette County sheriff received a report at about 1:30am Saturday, of two suspicious men at an apartment complex. The two left shortly after the call was made.

However, later, deputies patrolling the area spotted two men get out of a vehicle and walk toward the complex in Hawkeye.

The suspects were identified as 24 year old Alexander Jans and 20 year old Kyle Hundorf, both of West Union.
Jans was taken into custody on Fayette County warrants for probation violation/burglary 3rd, and failure to appear in court for a charge of burglary 2nd.

Hundorf was arrested on Fayette County warrants for failure to appear/contempt, probation violation/burglary 3rd, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After a search of their vehicle, deputies confiscated controlled substances, and seized the 2009 Dodge Challenger.
Jans was then charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a drug tax stamp violation, and driving while barred.

Hundorf was also charged with possession with intent to deliver, drug tax stamp violation, and possession of a controlled substance.

Both men are being held in the Fayette County jail on $270,000 bond.

The incident is still under investigation, and more charges are possible.
