Another coronavirus case has popped-up in Black Hawk County. KWWL reports Pillar of Cedar Valley in Waterloo has confirmed one staff member has COVID-19. That case was confirmed on Thursday, April 2nd.

The infected worker has not worked in the facility since Tuesday, March 24 and is said to be receiving medical treatment and will remain in isolation for 14 days.

It's important to note that no other members of Pillar of Cedar Valley are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. They are working with local and state health officials to restrict visitors, cancel group activities, and take vitals on all shifts for every resident and staff member.

The facility has increased all cleaning protocols and is working to contact their resident families, and all staff, to keep them informed.
