And so it is here... pumpkin spice season. There's the good...ish, the bad, and the worse. For Iowans in 2021, there's one particular pumpkin spice product that we apparently obsess over. This isn't a study or even science. It's all in what Iowans are Googling. So what's our favorite pumpkin spice product?

Iowans are all about the add-ons!

Our favorite pumpkin spice product, according to our own Google searches, is pumpkin spice syrup. Now let me ask you this, why in the heck would you want this? I mean, to each his/her own, but really? Are we making PSLs (pumpkin spice lattes) at home? I don't get why you'd want to have a liquid version of pumpkin spice. And don't get me wrong, I'm NOT anti pumpkin spice. At all. I just don't get the need for a liquefied version.

Iowa shares a love for liquified pumpkin spice with Oregon, Idaho, Michigan, Nevada, Kansas, and North Carolina. The most popular pumpkin spice product is the good old pumpkin spice latte. It's the favorite, according to Google Trends, in seven different states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Massachusetts, Colorado, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. A similar product, pumpkin spice creamer, takes the cake in New Mexico, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Maine.

So Iowa loves the syrup. As you can see, four states can't resist googling the new pumpkin spice ramen noodles. Mmm. All yours, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Vermont. We'll just keep adding pumpkin spice syrup to everything.
