Robin Thicke put his dancing and singing skills to good use yesterday by using them in court during the copyright trial involving “Blurred Lines” and Marvin Gaye’s 1977 hit “Gotta Give It Up.”

According to E!, Thicke performed a medley of songs including U2’s “With Or Without You,“ The Beatles’ “Let It Be” and Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry“ on Wednesday as part of his legal team’s effort to demonstrate that several pop songs share a similar chord progression.

In addition to playing the medley, Thicke testified that the two songs “share some of the same notes” but was adamant that the songs “only shared one chord.” The trial is expected to run for eight days and include testimony from “Blurred Lines” writer Pharrell, T.I. and Thicke’s estranged wife Paula Patton.
