Serious Van Rollover Near Landscaping Business

An Eastern Iowa motorist is hospitalized with apparent serious injuries following a Monday night (Aug. 1) accident.

According to the Linn County Sheriff, it happened at about 9pm on Highway 151, near Culvers Landscape in Marion.

A van driven by 26 year old Casey Leonard of rural Toddville, left the road, rolled through a ditch, and landed in a beanfield.

Leonard, the only occupant, was thrown from the van; he was taken to University Hospitals, with life-threatening injuries. A condition report was not available.

The accident remains under investigation.
