Sheriff Arrests Hawkeye Woman for Assault
A Northeast Iowa woman has been arrested by the Fayette County Sheriff early this morning (Oct. 3) for an assault incident.
At about 1:15am, authorities were summoned to a residence in Hawkeye, on the report of a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, deputies arrested 30 year old Emily Knudtson of Hawkeye, on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault, Criminal Mischief 4th degree, and Obstruction of Emergency Communication. Knudtson was taken to the Fayette County jail and held until her initial appearance before a judge.
A Lansing man was taken into custody earlier this week for an outstanding arrest warrant. On Tuesday, Fayette County deputies arrested 27 year old Alexander Berg for a Valid Fayette County warrant for Violation of Parole. The original charge was Sexual Abuse-3rd Degree. Berg was held on a $7,500 cash or surety bond.
