The next time someone says you’re wasting your time watching cat videos on YouTube, tell them that THEY are wasting YOUR time nagging you, because science now deems your feline-viewing habit as healthy.

According to an Indiana University survey of 7,000 cat-video enthusiasts, people who watch cat videos feel more energetic and positive after watching the videos.

They also reported fewer negative emotions, like anxiety and sadness. “Even if they are watching cat videos on YouTube to procrastinate...the emotional payoff may actually help people take on tough tasks afterwards,“ says lead study author Jessica Gail Myrick.

Here's some therapy for you. Watch it now, or save it for later when you're feeling glum.
