
Two Area People Injured When Their Motorcycle Hit a Deer
Two Northeast Iowa residents have been hurt when their motorcycle collided with a deer in Chickasaw County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened Sunday evening (Oct. 28) at about 7:00 p.m. on 110th Street, just east of Fayette Avenue, which is just west of Alta Vista.
A Harley Davidson driven by 64-year-old Jerry Dahly of Riceville was eastbound on 110th, when a deer entered the roadway. Dahly tried to stop, but the cycle went out of control, and both he and his passenger, 63-year-old Sharon Rowe of Riceville, were ejected.
Dahly was taken by air ambulance to Mayo Hospital in Rochester; Rowe was transported to Mercy in New Hampton. There was no condition report available.
